Hi I`m Super Duper! Nobody calls me Rupert anymore and that is fine with me. I like Super much better! I used to live in swanky San Francisco but now live in the suburbs where it is much warmer. I have a great pal with only one wing (how many birds can say that!), but that suits me because I don`t fly anyway. We get to walk all over the house following our foster mom from room to room. She says we are naughty boys, but still allows us freedom, so we must not be that bad! We eat pellets and also our veggies and we love millet, like all good cockatiels! If you would like to meet us, contact our coordinator and ask for the Super Duo (my pal Sienna made me put that!)
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
