Hey everybody! Many people have been asking Mickaboo for any updated information about me, and you`re right: It`s time for me to update my bio.

I originally came to Mickaboo in 2014. My original owner couldn`t keep me because I didn`t get along with her African Grey, and she didn`t want to see me pick a fight that I couldn`t win. I was about 8 years old then, which makes me (counting on zygodactylly-arranged fingers) about 14 now. I`m a charming and friendly bird, but, like all Senegal Parrots, I have a mind of my own, and you have to pay attention when interacting with me.

I`m on a great diet and will eat all kinds of pellets, vegetables, and grains. I like to share foods with my human companion for breakfast. Although we like to keep my diet healthy, I do indulge in occasional fruits. Apples and bananas are among my favorites.

I like to visit with people at other times besides morning feedings, too. I`m usually a mellow bird who enjoys ambient companionship, but one of my favorite things is when people scritch my head and neck. I will point at my head with my claw and say, "Scratch Molly," and I`ll make various other human and environmental sounds. My cage gets covered at night. While I like to look out the window, I`m sometimes scared of raptors or other large birds. I`m usually quiet but, like all parrot-type birds, can make some noise.

My original biography said that I "like the company of men." Since my previous owner and my current foster parent are both women, I seem to get along with them okay, too. Let`s say for now that I take it on a case-by-case basis. I`d love to meet you and see if we can get along together.
