My name is Lola, and I am a very beautiful Hybrid Miligold Macaw. That means one of my great-grand parents was a Military Macaw and the other was a Blue & Gold Macaw, then from there both my grand-parents and my parents were Miligolds, which is why I am so colorful. I`m always getting complimented on the sunburst colored feathers on my chest, and all my bright green and blue feathers.

Now am looking for a macaw experienced human mom who has spent time with Macaws and someone that wants to spend quality time with me. I enjoy exploring or just hang out with you.

In the past, when humans have tried to pick me up without getting to know me first, I have had to let them know I wasn`t ready by biting them. I try not to draw blood, but sometimes humans don`t listen to my warning and they keep coming at me, so I have to bite a little harder until they understand. Once I get to know you, and like you, I won`t bite you. In fact, I enjoy getting my head scratched and the back of my neck. If you want to pick me up, you can tell that I am ready when I lift one of my feet up. Food -- I love food! I also love to dip my food in my water bowl, so need to clean out my bowl at least once a day. I love my pellets, they are called "Rowdy Bush", and unsalted peanuts in the shell, but only a few each day, as well as other nuts and seeds. I also love fruit and vegetables, apples, red grapes and zucchini squash are my favorites. Thank you for taking the time to read about me. I`m a fun and loving bird if you take the time to get to know me, and very beautiful, I might add ... even if I do say so myself! -- Lola Update: Lola has demonstrated a very strong preference for women and would not be good with young children
