Hiya! I`m Cajun! My foster parents believe I was picked on a lot when i was a baby bird because I am a smaller guy and I can be pretty sketched out by new stuff. But don`t let my small stature fool you because I am quite the spicy birdy! I am quite adventurous and with a little convincing I will try new stuff. Since I`ve been with my foster parents I`ve learned that hands are kinda ok and will give you treats if you step onto them, but I am still skeptical of hands with no treats. I also like to do little head rolls when i get excited. Sometimes i will hiss at you but I am really just trying to act tough cause ill even do it when I am eating from your hand. I also share a home with my best buddy Skeeter who watches my back. I don`t know what I`d do without him. I am also quite a social guy and get excited when i see other birds and would probably do well in a home with other birds (as long as they are nice to me). Come visit me and say hi!
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
