I`m currently living inside to see if I can regrow some feathers and perhaps be socialized as a indoor bird. I`m the offspring of Jasper and Amber and was hand raised by a neighbor of the owner. For reasons they didn`t tell me (they were probably trying to protect me, but I can handle the truth), I came back to live in the cramped cage for three years before being rescued.
I`m trying to remember years ago when I used to trust hands. I don`t mind humans getting up close to me, but hands make me a little nervous still. I`m a pied and have a beautiful marbled chest, splotchy face, dark grey back with yellow tail sticking out. Very dramatic! The front of my tail has part yellow and part grey feathers which looks pretty neat. I think I`m about 3 years old.

In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
