Harper

Bird ID: 6697
Species: Cockatiel
Sex: Female
Sub-Species: Lutino
Adopted on 2020-07-29
Harper was a stray brought to Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento after a good Samaritan found her with a head wound on the streets. Front Street contacted Mickaboo directly and we had her seen by an avian vet where she got antibiotics and pain medications. In her foster home, she has grown back her crest and revealed her spunky personality. She will be a joy for whoever adopts her.
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
