Hi! My name is September. I was hatched in an aviary and used to fly around with a bunch of other budgies. I`m still just a baby, and nobody knows if I`m a boy or a girl yet. (I`m not sure yet either, since I don`t really know what that means.) I am very cute, however, dontcha think? For coming from an aviary, I am a surprisingly good-natured little budgie! Of couse, I wasn`t happy about being grabbed and moved into a small temporary cage, but I`m not frantically scared of people, and I don`t even bite very hard - sort of "more in sorrow than in anger" bites. Did you know that young budgies like me are very easy to tame? All it takes is patience and millet. It`s also very possible to teach young budgies to talk (although Mickaboo makes NO promises that a particular bird will want to learn how!). Won`t you take a chance on adding ME to your forever home?
In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
