Hi there, I`m Bojing, a young male budgie just waiting for my forever home! I eat parakeet mix and Harrison`s fine pellets. I like greens and some veggies! I came to Mickaboo from Sonoma Animal Shelter, where I was dropped off after flying into some kind soul`s yard. I am hand tame and stepped right up on to the shelter officer`s hand when they came to get me. I sing in the morning, chirp and burble all day, I like attention, I am not afraid of people, and I warm up quickly to my people. I am very sweet and very adoptable. Ready to step up to be my forever home?
In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
