I was adopted in Oct 2021 by a wonderful adopter who was excited to care for me. Unfortunately, after 30+ years of being the only bird and the queen of the roost, I was not impressed at moving into a home where (gasp) there was already a macaw living there!
I did not want to be friendly with their existing macaw and I would attack her feet. I got very jealous and wanted all the attention to be given to me!
I am 33 years old and spent all my life until 2021 living with my wonderful family in San Francisco. They gave me hours of out time every day, and showered me with attention and love.
I`m on a good diet of roudybush pellets with fresh veggies every day. I would do best as the only bird in a home with lots of time to spend with me! I am friendly, I step up, and I love to talk and jibber jabber.
I am a confirmed female, as I have laid eggs in the past. Obviously Mickaboo will give advice to any adopter on how to avoid that happening in future - we never want to stimulate hormones in a parrot.
