Hello my name is Tweety. I`m a 15 year old rose breasted cockatoo. I have 2 large fatty tumors the size of plums called lipomas. This usually happens when a bird is fed a high fat diet such as sunflower seeds. When my family took me to the vet, they were told I would have to be euthanized. (Can you imagine!!!) Thank goodness they got a second opinion but the treatment was very expensive. My family loved me so much so they made the decision to surrender me to Mickaboo. The nice people at Mickaboo contacted one of their avian vets experienced in treating birds with this condition. I was introduced to a healthy diet of pellets, fruits and vegetables. My lipomas have decreased and I am ready for my final procedure to get my girlish figure back.

Update 7/14/22 Look at me now! I`m beautiful and I have been happily adopted !!!!!
