Zits is a strip I read regularly but which I never before saw anything remotely avian in ... until this one from one year ago in which the main character (Jeremy) compares his mother's attempts to get him out of bed to a crow, and then comes up with the appropriate thought response:
Our final "new discovery" from Bored Panda is Sarah, who goes by "chickynugs" on that site and has done a series of comics based on her cockatiel, Chicken ... hence the title "Chicken Thoughts" for her collection:
More of her work, including comics based on her other companion bird (a parrotlet named Blue Boy) is at Facebook and Instagram.
Day two of Bored Panda discoveries: Community member Jimmy Craig has done a series called "They Can Talk" which is based on what he thinks is going on inside animals' minds. Here is a sample of one of his avian-related entries:
More at his Instagram page.
For the next few days the blog will feature some independent toon artists I discovered recently on the Bored Panda website. The first is Cynthia, who goes by the nom de plume PotatoPato and centers her toons around her real-life companion cockatiel Buddy:
More of her work is showcased on her Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr pages.
Carpe Diem: I'm trying to figure out how you would use that carrier pigeon for its normal function in outer space.
The Other Coast: You can stop wondering now, Koko.
Birdbrains: A double play on words here.
Speed Bump: Who knew this concern had spread to avian situations?
An avian valentine with a couple of bad puns.
