Bonded to Maia. Hi, Mickaboo! Thanks for coming to my aid. I don`t know what happened, but I suddenly found myself outside and alone. Some nice people took me the animal shelter, and then Mickaboo took me in. Since then, I found my mate Maia, and we live in an aviary outside. My foster mom isn`t sure if I`m a male or female because all the boys love me, but I also whistle. Not too many girls know how to whistle! But I`m not telling without a blood test! So if you want to figure it out, contact my coordinator and ask for Marvin and her entourage.
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
