I like soft chewable toys and vegetables - both let me show off my chewing abilitites. I also enjoy showers quite a lot.
Bernie has had repeatedly high uric acid levels, but they *do* come down when he has a high-moisture diet with lots of veggies. Veggies will be key to his health, and fortunately, he does like to eat them. It will be important for him to have periodic vet visits to monitor his uric acid levels.
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
