Hi there! They call me Finn - maybe because like Huckleberry Finn, I am an intrepid runaway. My current foster mom heard me in her backyard where I was lured by her aviary of cockatiels - my boys! I hopped in when she opened the door and fit right in. I spend my days singing and chattering to myself or to anyone who wants to listen. My specialties are "What are you doing?" and "Pretty Bird". I enjoy being with other cockatiels and would love to sing and chat to you and your cockatiel companion - if you`ve been approved to adopt, ask our coordinators if you can meet me!
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
